So, according to Peter's profile, there is a portal to his sub-dimension hanging in a tree across the street from the X-Mansion. Craziness aside, it gives off astral energy, which Azure can sense. Being curious, she would definitely investigate, find a slab of silver, and then go home and ask one of her teachers about it (probably Professor X, who I've been assuming is her mentor since he was until recently the only telepath there).
So I was wondering what would happen next. Mind you she would have discovered the portal fairly early on, in October, althoguh she might have waited a bit before broaching the subject with anybody.

Asking "what would happen next" in this way is a type of game modding. You are clearly planning to do this in character depending on the knowledge you gain out of character. This is unacceptable and I am asking you not to do it again.
That being said, go read the game rules and school rules.
I beg your pardon. What knowledge gained out of character? How do you interpret asking for character interaction to be "game modding"? And I have read the rules, thank you. What bearing do they have on this?
Azure would be given detention for leaving school grounds without the company of a responsible adult. Then, Xavier would warn her to leave 'slab of silver' alone, stating that is a sort of 'memorial' to a now dead student.
Interested in doing the thread where she tells Xavier and gets detention?
Well, certainly, if that's what you'd prefer. And if such a draconian punishment is going to be meted out simply for crossing the street, it might be better.
He isn't going to really punish Azure for crossing the street, but he will point out that it is technically against the rules which are there for the students' protection. He would warn against messing with the 'silver slab' either way.
Also, take a look at Medic. She has left the grounds several times and she is underage. Xavier knows and has not acted and she has not said anything that would force him to do so. If Azure says something to him, then Xavier has to react. Make sense?
Now, if she doesn't say anything and messes with the slab again, she might get a telepathic message from Xavier about it. Might, no guarantees.
Well, no, it doesn't make sense to me. As far as she knows Azure did nothing wrong, and since she assumes the X-Men are aware of the slab they are the people to turn to for answers about it. It's a sign of trust.
I would be happy to. However I must the location of the slab. I've been assuming an empty lot, with the slab rather obviously hanging in the branches of a tree. Moreso since all the leaves would now be gone. Not that how obvious it is matters in that she's sensing it psychically, but she wouldn't venture into somebody else's private property or anything that seemed unsafe. So it might render the whole idea irrelevant.
It was never accurately decribed in my profile as I had intended for it to be described in a thread as was convenient. But, as I am being called on...
Six eight in height, two feet in width, inch thick. It's basically a full length mirror, since it is meant to have Peter walk through it. The portal, when opened, is confined to the size of the mirror itself.
Is it on an empty lot? On the side the road, hanging from the tree? Further in a forested area, just out of site from the road? Flam's got a very good point on this
As far as I am aware (The other staff have the right to overrule me), the slab is resting in a tree in an abandoned lot/open park deal, camoflagued for the most part by growth on it.
