Full Name: Peter Raziel Emile
Codename Vanguard
Nicknames: Argent Knight, Argent Prince, Herald
Gender: Male
Age: 21
D.O.B. March 7th
Species: Homo Superior (Cheyarafim Descent; through Raziel Brandt)
---
Occupation: Hellfire Club Agent, Trainer for the Hellions
Canon or Original: Original
Mutations: Telepathy: Peter is a high order telepath, only able to read the minds of human, though his brains unique mathematically obsessed structure has left him with a peculiar dysfunction to his powers, being based on a number that is tied into both his telepathy and telekinesis. This number, for the time being, is 20. It is the number of miles that Peter is able to extend his mind, and is the number of minds Peter is most comfortable making simultaneous contact with, as well as being tied into other abilities of his, which will be extrapolated on below.
Peter Emile has access to the following telepathic subsets:
Psionic Shield: Peter has always focused on controlling the battlefield, through controlling himself, before extending himself outwards. This has manifested in the ability to create shields that are capable of linking themselves to the concept of twenty, and can only be broken after twenty psychic blows, or in some other way relating to the mathematical anomaly that is his mind. Peter is only capable of protecting himself with this ability, as it is not one he has learned to extend outwards yet.
(OOC: Just, please, humour me. Show me where the link to the number twenty is, and how they know to use it, and the shield is bypassed.)
Psionic Shadow/Psionic Cloak: Through extending himself, Peter can create a psychic shadow over himself and nineteen other individuals, which makes it so that unless they are actively sought out, they pass by the notice of any telepathic scanning of searching. This ability is referred to by different names by different teachers, but is effectively the same.
Telepathic Jamming: Should Peter's psionic shadow fail to do the job, this ability kicks in next. It becomes a contest of wills, where Peter is actively disorienting the probing mind, and attempting to cloak the other presences, usually through the use of false signals, while suppressing his own.
Telepathic Smoke Screen: The final layer of defense for a telepathic probe, this ability literally is a last ditch effort. By exerting himself, Peter creates thousands (8000 to be precise, 20 x 20 x 20) of false signals, and creates as much telepathic 'noise' as he can, while usually rushing his charges along. This ability is only active for twenty seconds before it shuts down, the the enemy telepath is left wondering what the hell that was, and where the new signals came from.
Telepathic Illusion: Peter can create disguises for himself through manipulating what they believe they see when they look at him.
Mental Detection: Peter, should he extend his senses, is capable of detecting other superhuman minds that are within his Sense of Perception. This is activated when he begins actively scanning automatically. It is subject to any and all mental defenses the target may have.
Tele-empathy: Peter has some limited abilities of tele-empathy, influencing and sensing emotions through the mind.
Voice Beyond: There are times when Peter seems to speak with an authority beyond his own, seemingly imbued with a Charisma, and Aura of Command, beyond his own. These usually only occur when he speaks on matters of Honour, or Spirituality. This is a telepathic effect, and those who hear it and are immune to telepathy will not perceive that effect. When Peter reaches the crescendo of many of his speeches, the illusion of black wings explode from his back, and seem to frame him, the light draining from the room around him, and he truly seems to steal the spotlight.
Phantom Music: Accompanying Peter when he sings or plays an instrument, this is an illusion of other instruments to compliment him. This can also sometimes generate a female counterpoint to his own voice, if the piece of music he is playing needs it.
Share Dream: Peter is capable of pulling nineteen other individuals into a share dream with him, allowing them to train without fear of harming one another. This ability consumes a great deal of energy, and is thusly normally only able to be used in Arcadia. When in the shared dream, all the normal laws of physics apply 'in the dream', as opposed to normal lucid dreams, though powers function as the dreamer understands them too.
Telekinesis: Peter, due to his unique focus in telekinesis, is more focused on defensive, tangible uses of telekinesis, as well as with improvement of himself. As such, he uses his abilities internally, and lets them grow outwards, or uses them in conjunction with his physical combat. He has a maximum lift capacity of 20 tons, which equates to 40,000 pounds imperial, as well as tapering out at the rate of one ton every twenty feet. For example, at a range of one hundred and twenty feet, Peter is only capable of exerting fourteen tons of force. This is referred to as the rule of twenty by Peter, and is part of his his powers function. His abilities are entirely negated at a range of four hundred feet. At all times, his powers will adhere, in some form if possible, to the number twenty. If Peter's powers grown in some fashion, they will adhere to the new number.
Peter is also capable of using the following telekinetic subsets:
Tactile Telekinesis: The ability to use telekinesis in a personal fashion enhancing strength, speed, durability, agility, reflexes, stamina and fighting skills to superhuman levels. Like the other abilities, this power adheres to the rule of 20, in that he is only capable of exerting 20 tons of force, while his other abilities adhere to a multiple of 20 times more capable. This includes creating a zone of deadened sound, barely audible above a whisper, when triggered.
Flight: By levitating himself, and directing the speed, Peter can fly at a rate of twenty feet per second, and if he needs to accelerate, can begin to do so at a rate of an additional twenty feet per twenty seconds. (20, 40, 60, 80, etc.) This maxes out at about 400 feet a second, (20 x 20), and after 400 minutes at full speed, he must land, and rest. During this rest period, Peter's telekinetic shields will be down except for the single closest.
Telekinetic shield: Peter is capable of creating a telekinetic forcefield that is a multi-layered set of shields. The outermost shield is capable of withstanding one ton of force before breaking down, before the second, which is twenty feet back, can withstand two tons, so on and so forth, until you reach the shield that is around Peter's body, which can withstand twenty tons. The shields are air permeable, and do not react to slow movement, only kinetic attacks moving faster than a controlled walking pace.
Telekinetic Wave: Peter is capable of releasing cutter waves that begin at one ton of force, and taper out at a rate of one twentieth of a ton every time they pass twenty feet, before they dissipate at the full four hundred feet. These are honed to cut like a blow from Peter's sword, and are meant to function as if they are one. Peter can send these out as long range slashes, short range bursts, which will die out within five feet (20 x 3, this time in inches), or as a cluster which will remain stationary when Peter bursts past an opponent.
Telekinetic Flares: Peter can also summon telekinetic bursts of energy, which have a purple hue to them, and home inwards. These explode with no kinetic damaging force to be found, but DO tend to launch his enemy around, setting them up for more deadly strikes. Four of these appear per instance, at the north west, north east, south west, and south east of his foe. They do not track, so they can be dodged away from, but begin relative to the target.
Telekinetic Crush: Creating a telekinetic sphere that can be visualized as a 'Meteor', Peter slams it down on his enemy, slamming them with a great amount of weight and kinetic energy. This ability is more for style than efficiency, since Peter figures one should have some class in their execution. This slams down on the enemy at a 40 degree angle from two hundred feet away.
( For Reference: www.youtube.com/watch?v=jmDWQdrTLfw No, Peter does not have Super Nova. But the rest of this is excellent visual reference to what his fighting style resembles using his sword.)
Telekinetic Sensitivity: Peter, once an object enters his sense of perception, is able to analyze an object down to the molecular level, becoming intimately familiar with it's make up at all levels.
Intuitive Aptitude: Once an object enters Peter's 'sense of perception', he is capable of locking onto it, scanning it using his telekinetic sensitivity... And then deconstructing it at the finest single component, so long as the weight limits are within Peter's maximum lift capacity. This allows him to disassemble, make improvements on, and then reassemble objects as needed. It is worth noting that Peter must UNDERSTAND the technology he is interacting with to modify it, but he does not risk inadvertent damage by simply disassembling it, barring a specifically rigged mechanism to prevent tampering.
Psychokinesis: These abilities are caused by Peter combining his abilities of telepathy and telekinesis, and using them in conjunction:
Sense of Perception: Extending to a range of four hundred feet (20 x 20), Peter is possessed of a practically perfect circumambient sphere around him, in a three dimensional viewpoint. This functions much like a mini-map, or HUD from a video game, in that it grants Peter a tactical sight normally unavailable to him. This sense of perception also allows him to see Astral and other Non-Corporeal phenomenae. When Peter closes his eyes, is blinded, or is wearing a blindfold, his sense of perception is not only still active, but is more actively alert, as it fills in for his sight. It cannot be fooled by darkness, by misdirection, or by anything but a direct attack on his powers themselves.
Psychokinetic Constructs: Peter's current preferred psychokinetic construct is to generate an energy field over his sword and coat, coating them in a secondary field, protecting either from wear and tear. However, if Peter witnesses another psychokinetic construct being created through telepathy or telekinesis, Peter can eventually learn to mimic it using one or both. This requires at least a few days, somewhere between three days to three weeks, of being able to study the ability, before he can begin replicating it.
Arcadia: Peter, two years ago, found he had the ability to create a pocket dimension. He spent his time there, hiding away from the troubles of the world by tending to the land within the Astral Plane. His careful tending, gardening, irrigating, creating base elements, and taking the time to make them real, he has granted it an ecosystem that is not reliant on any sapient being. The plants need no bees. It has no trees, or other large plants, instead relying on smaller grasses, flowers, and myriad other fragrant organisms.
There are two peculiar, and disconcerting traits to Arcadia, that need to be recognized. First off, it is a hollow sphere, and when you enter Arcadia, you are inside the sphere, though the gravity being subjective to the surface you are on, and weakening enough that you will not reach velocities that would hurt you, even if you fell from the top too the bottom, instead being attracted more strongly to a walkway once you got near it, and landing gently. Arcadia has been designed to be as confusing as possible for people who are not familiar with it, but the key things to understand, is that you will always enter in the 'bottom' of Arcadia, and can always look straight up at the Fortress, before working your way in. The 'Core' of Arcadia is a throne room, in which there is a man inside a Diamond sarcophagus, seated upon a platinum throne within it, the sarcophagus filled with reddish honey. This is the tomb of Raziel, and it is this tomb that Peter will always fall back too. The man has his eyes closed, and seems asleep, though no vital signs will be detected. Peter often will talk to Raziel, and for obvious reasons, this throne room is generally prohibited to any visitors. Raziel's body is the precise center of Arcadia, and at no time does any amount of darkness or shadow fall on him.
Secondly, is the light sources. Arcadia is always in a state of twilight, the light being silver hued. Adjustments can be made after staying long enough in the realm, to see without disorientation, but it still maintains a silver hue to everything seen, and can be disturbing. Arcadia, as a pocket dimension, exists in a section of the Astral Plane that has been segregated and quarantined. The lining of the sphere, below the twenty feet or so of soil and other water retaining compounds, is a metal that is impervious to manipulation by any sources barring Omega Level Telepaths or Telekinetics who are within Arcadia itself. On that note however, Arcadia IS on the Astral Plane, so mutants with respective powers to it will feel the normal enhancements or effects. Despite it's planar nature, Arcadia has more than enough air to breathe for any air breathing entity. This is achieved both through the manipulation of the plane itself, and Peter having torn a number of open near the trunks of trees in Central Park. There are often small critters and different birds in Arcadia, having blundered their way in.
Arcadia Fortress: An extensive fortress, with walkways seemingly made of hewn stone extending like a spiders web throughout the plane until it touches the ground, this fortress is seemingly made of white marble, which takes on the silver hue of the plane. The fortress itself is in a Gothic style, and gives a cold, imposing appearance to it. It has a spherical design, all aspects radiating from a single point, the center of which lies the throne room. Peter is able to alter the fortress as he sees need, through force of will, and a few moments thought. This grants him a distinctive combat advantage, and is related to his dominion over the realm, and the fortress.
While in Arcadia, Peter's telekinetic and telepathic powers grow from being based on a rule of 20, to being based on a rule of 100, and like that augmentation, he also heals at five times the normal rate. Peter does not age in Arcadia, and while there, does not suffer from depression, or loss, the time in the Astral Plane soothing his mind, and feeding the hunger in his soul. For those who are keen on making such commentary, Arcadia COULD be considered to be Peter's own source of Prozac, and all sorts of wonderful combat drugs, creating a cornucopia of wonderful effects in him.
Create Object: Usable on a basis of whim, as opposed to being tied to the meditation, Peter can create mundane, non weapon objects as he may need, be it rope, gear, candlesticks, or whatever else may seem to be needed at the moment. This is the effect that Peter uses to create furniture and other decorations for his Arcadia Fortress. Peter is unable to make objects that have complex moving parts, and cannot cause complex chemical reactions Peter is not able to visualize, though he is able to make water., soil, and other basic elements. This power, though being a function of his telepathy and telekinesis intersecting, can only be used in Arcadia, though he is able to remove objects from it without issue. Peter creates an abstract value of objects, based off of an archaic measurement of the 'Gold Piece'. He can create up to 100,000 gold pieces of objects, (20 x 5000), which is a value independent of weight or mass. This effect is draining on Peter as he must quite literally focus his own personal energies, and use the mathematical equation E = MC^2 to create an object by drawing energy from the Astral Plane, and converting it into matter. This, plus a few drops of blood act as the catalyst, creating the object.
A telepath or telekinetic can dispel the objects if they focus on doing so, and understand what exactly the object is.
Commune: By opening himself to the Astral Plane, Peter can commune with his ancestors, drawing on their wisdom and guidance. While this does not offer him much in the way of scientific knowledge, it offers him a wealth of spiritual information, while also granting him insights into history, and philosophy. Finally, it allows him to learn how to use telepathy and telekinesis from his father, Raziel. This is not a fast process by any means, but is usually carried out while he sleeps, without straining or fatiguing him. This can only be done in Arcadia itself, and is the prime reason Peter is so loathe to leave it, and instead invites others to come to him.
OOC Note: What this means, is that Peter has access to a trainer, as well as a source of knowledge, no matter his current allegiances. It also is a source of Peter's own spiritual peace, as he is able to bring his problems to his ancestors, and ask advice. These ancestors are not able to manifest in ways that can be used in combat, barring the training. Of note, is that Peter also will sometimes have conversations with Raziel, and have him talk back...
Create Portal: By marking a location in his own silver laced blood, Peter is able to render it a permanent portal, lacing it with constant astral energy, that has two effects. First off, Peter is able to use the portal as needed, and second, it allows Peter to maintain more than one of these portals. As this takes about two pints of blood to achieve a portal a human being can enter and exit, Peter is not keen on creating these portals often.
Peter has five portals. One in his room at home in Victoria,, a second that is actually on a piece of polished silver that is imbedded a tree outside the property of the X-Mansion, having been located after he had 'forgotten' that he had a portal there, and moved, and a third that is on a second piece of polished silver, that rests in his room in Hellfire Club New York. The fourth and fifth portals are inside of Peter's executioners, granting him effectively 'unlimited' ammo with them, as they are linked to a specifically designed room in Arcadia that feeds them ammunition as he uses it up. There is an extremely large, but ultimately finite amount of ammunition, just eliminating the need to reload.
The astral energy laced into the blood on the portals prevents them from either emitting a smell, or decaying. It takes being purposely wiped clean with fluid that has iron particulate in it to remove the silver compound. Any telepath who understands the nature of the portal can project a thought at it, forcing it to open. Peter merely needs to will them open or closed as needed. Peter can open a portal INTO Arcadia from wherever he is, and it is not taxing at all, though the portal will close behind him. This, combined with his Blood Madness, usually tends to lead to his making himself the Vanguard, and explains his codename.
Portal Recap:
1: His room in Victoria.
2: Tree across the street from the X-Mansion, moved by the X-Men.
3: His 'room' (A glorified storage closet) in Hellfire New York.
4/5: In his Guns.
Metabolize Iron: Peter can metabolize Iron he consumes in his diet over a course of time, and convert it into elemental silver for the use of his body. This process requires atomic mass equal between the Iron and Silver. While this could be construed as a weakness, the fact that iron is in most meat products simply means that Peter leads a nominally carnivorous diet, and failing that, drinks some colloidal silver every now and then. The only way someone could capitalize on Peter's use of silver is to starve him, which would be as much an issue for any redblooded person as it is him.
Superhuman Intelligence: Peter has perfect photographic memory, is a polymath genius, capable of thinking at a speed that outstrips even the nominal human 'genius'.
Eidetic Memory: Peter Emile's mind is a steel trap. He forgets nothing, and his memories are as clear as crystal. He suffers no ill effect from this, barring a slight predisposition to headaches. In the case of a telepathic assault, while he may not know what was in the memory damaged, will know there WAS damage...
Classification: Alpha
Equipment: Peter, when the helicopter crashed, was in heavy tactical armour, and carrying two Elysium Enterprises Executive Executioners. Apart from his combat armour, which is worn under his coat, he is carrying a titanium/tungsten combat knife, an HTC one, his glasses, which thanks to being built for heavy duty use, survived the crash, and his X-Men communicator. As a former X-Student, Peter signed an agreement with the X-Men that if they needed to call on him, he would come. He was in turn given the communicator, and had been intending on using it to contact them if caught by Madelyne.
Executive Executioner: Sixteen inches long, thirty five pounds when fully loaded, with enough recoil to rip an untrained users fingers off, the executioner is designed by mutants, to hunt down mutants. It has explosive, armour piercing rounds, and is generally not something you want to be hit by. When fired, this weapon sounds like a cannon going off, and if Peter is wielding it, someone has spooked him, and he intends to make them regret being born. When carrying this weapon, Peter opens a portal to a special room in Arcadia, which through a specially designed mechanism that Peter spent the better part of a week machining and tuning, auto loads new rounds into the gun. Amusingly, once Peter's blood madness, and aura of silence kicks in, these guns, instead of making a cannon blast noise, instead make a loud noise that faintly sounds like 'Dakka-Dakka-Dakka-Dakka'.
After about fifty shots, Peter MUST let his guns cool down, or else he will cook off the Ammo in his magazines, and lose the guns, and suffer extensive burns and trauma to his hands.
Sword of the Argent Prince: A weapon formed of an alloy of lightweight materials, painstakingly created in Arcadia over weeks, this blade is functionally indestructible, as it is sheathed in a psychic energy field, assisting in maintaining it's structure, and assisting in it's cutting power. It is weightless when in Peter's hands, as it is an extension of his psyche, and bonded to his mind. As it is created from Astral energy, and can be absorbed into Peter as needed, it can also be discorporated for a few minutes if a strong telepath targets the sword itself, and attempts to destroy it. When wielded in a non-vacuum, the sword creates a keening, wailing, sound as the air is sliced by the blade, and runs along it. This can have a disturbing effect on those hearing it.
Sword of the Argent Prince
Elysium Enterprises: While not exactly a piece of equipment persay, it is worth noting that Peter has exceptionally strong ties to a corporate entity that has a broad interest in numerous sectors, but had started as an arms corporation. While Peter is officially considered dead by Hellfire Club Victoria, many of the employees of Elysium still treat Peter like an executive officer, and do not question his presence. The Hellfire Club in New York bought out the New York branch with a little assistance from Peter, and as such, Peter has full access to the corporation for means of laundering the items he creates in Arcadia. He also has access to the ammo stores, and arms technology for creating more rounds for his executioners.
Uniform: Formed from purest astral aether, and willed to adhere to unrealistic qualities, the armoured coat, grieves, pauldrons, and boots, as well as the gauntlets that Peter wears are as black as night. Blacker, even, as they seem to actively drain the light from the room, and cast a chill into the air, as if they are formed of the void of space. Contrasting with his skin, this armour befits someone who would call themselves the Argent Prince. If a telepath were, again, to target his armour, they could disassemble it, leaving him only in his tactical armour.

Skills: Outside of the skills granted by his powers, Peter possesses knowledge equivalent to a bachelor's of the arts, and the perquisite education, having been a straight A student before the fateful mission. As to his combat skills, he is a fully trained X-Student, and was trained by the Victoria Hellfire Club's Aurant and Argent Bishops in the use of fire arms, hand-to-hand, and swordplay. His father, Raziel, insisted that Peter learn a musical instrument, and to read sheet music, wanting Peter to have a cultured side as well. To that end, Peter can play the Violin and Piano with competence, and has a decent baritone, though is nothing particularly special.
On the note of languages, Peter speaks fluent English, French, German, and Latin. If his mind is read, he THINKS in Latin. An inexperienced telepath will find the thoughts to be gibberish (Barring speaking Latin), but anyone with the skill to learn how to read the concepts themselves, instead of reading the surface thoughts, can begin to clue in on what is going on in his head. This is also assisted if someone has a strong mathematic background, as there is an underlying mathematical symmetry to his thoughts.
Peter's swordsmanship is focused on the style of Sasaki Kojiro, with improvements over time, passed down by the Aurant Bishop of Victoria, Aoki Haku, a descendant of one of the masters of that school. He also inherited the skills of his Father, Raziel Brandt, who personally tutored him in the use of most European swords that a knight would receive exposure to. These seemingly are directly learned from a Knight...
In hand to hand, Peter uses a brutal hand-to-hand fighting art developed by his Sensei, Haku, known as Munashii-Ryu. Specifically developed to integrate with telekinesis, it is designed to incorporate powers into it's use without thought, and to draw on those abilities easily. The frightening similarities between this fighting style, and 'Vapaad' are... Visual. Nothing more.
In firearms, Peter is, again, good enough to teach, but not a 'master'. He IS versed in most firearms, and able to pick up a gun and correct the sights within seconds, so that counts for something. Peter is at his best using two heavy pistols, semi-automatics, though he does not shy away from other guns.
Weaknesses: Broken trinity: Peter Emile's soul was gripped by Madelyne Pryor when she attempted to take down the X-Men in the moment she self-destructed. Her powers over the mind were so vast she was able to breach the barriers of the soul, and sunder the souls of those around her when she self-destructed. All of the X-Men had shielding for one another. Henri Brandt, an observer sent by Hellfire Victoria along with the Argent Knight, Peter Emile, had no protection, outside of that same Argent Knight. As was duty to him, he raised a Psychic shield, between Henri and Madelyne. In that moment, he was struck with an astral blow that shattered him into three.
One third departed immediately into the Astral Plane, and has yet to be found. A second third moored itself into Peter's body, and became a hollow shell entrapping the final segment. After seeing the woman he was obsessed with kill herself, coming to the dark realization that she had chosen Alexander Summers, had not even known he existed, and very likely would not have cared, that same shell crumpled inwards. The final segment vanished, and has not been located yet.
Effects which target the soul will automatically succeed against Peter. There is simply only a third of the resistance one would normally find. Finally Peter emits an eerie darkness to him, seemingly casting a blackness around him, as if he is draining all the light and warmth from the room. This is not an illusion, but the void within them reaching out. This emptiness has a hand in the issues Peter experiences with his powers, and the resultant exponential decrease in his abilities, mathematically represented as:
1
--------
1060
Blood Madness: When engaged in combat, there are two frailties that overcome Peter. These are side effects of how his mind was tailor made to handle input. First, Peter does not make noise in combat. His mind automatically creates a disturbance in the air telekinetically that deadens the sound, while at the same time, deadening his voice. Secondly, Peter will not surrender. There is only victory, or death. He will accept an honourable surrender, though he does not prompt them, and will not pursue retreating foes.
Compassion: Despite Peter's detachment, and general blasé' attitude to the world, he still does care about other people, and cares deeply. While it would be inaccurate to say that Peter is deeply empathic, he loathes to see others suffering, and will do what he can to alleviate it. Given Peter's affiliations, this sort of emotional softness is a weakness. Peter will never leave a comrade behind.
Slow Healing: As Peter's physiology is not exactly... Normal, his body heals slowly, requiring time to convert the Iron in his diet into Silver for use in moving oxygen. It IS worth nothing that Peter's blood is a really cool silver colour that is shiny, and neat looking.
Honourable: Peter, for all he is nearly a soulless bastard who callously uses people for his entertainment, and seems to wallow in hedonism with more than his fair share of enjoyment, is a deeply honourable man. He does not force himself on others, has respect for the sanctity of others, stares women in the eye, speaks with respect, and in all ways actually treats the people around him with decency. Combined with his almost steadfast need to keep his word, and behave in a manner that is forthright, and above moral reproach, there is no end of opportunity for an enemy to manipulate Peter, if they are capable of using forethought, and intelligence. Peter will always pay his debts, even to spiders and worms.
Black Feathers: When Peter enters or exits a portal, there is a visual effect of black feathers falling around him, before dissipating into mist after a few seconds. If a telepath can retrieve one of these feathers before they dissipate, and stabilize them, they will notice that their powers are far more effective against Peter when used.
Arcadia: Any psyker who can oppose Peter in Arcadia is due the right to challenge Peter for command of the realm. Peter is tied to Arcadia, and if command is taken from him through a challenge, he will automatically orient himself as serving the ruler of Arcadia as a second. Peter's loyalty through this link is unbreakable, transcending any corporeal allegiance. Challenges are non-lethal, and can take the form of whatever competition the challenger can name. If the challenger does not specify a contest, Peter will gain the right to choose. The actual battle ground is a portion of Arcadia set aside for this form of combat. This is the price Peter pays for being almost one with the plane. His will is subordinate the plane.
OOC Note: By this weakness being there, I am giving you permission to challenge him. Just be prepared to fight, because I am not going to throw it for you. THIS IS A CHALLENGE. Not an 'I Win' button.
“My shoulders burn!”: Peter's shoulders are prone to a burning sensation that can be disconcerting, and distracting outside of combat situations. He is not prone to complaining about it, but this distraction IS a sign of issues in his body. If ignored, and not suppressed with a dose of painkillers, the burning sensation extends through the rest of his body. This can inflict cluster headaches and all other sorts of unpleasantness in Peter's body if left unattended. These are wings that are waiting to burst out when Peter obtains his full soul. Once this occurs, his weaknesses will change to reflect having unfamiliar and fun new appendages... This is actually what manifests his black feathers, and if someone were to obtain a real one of his black feathers, they would have a much stronger influence over him...
Mathematical Mindset: Peter's mind is a wonderfully honed tool, and in all sorts of manners this mathematical madness is super useful... Except that it leaves a gaping weakness. If a telepath is capable of figuring out the number that Peter is affixed to, and framing the telepathic intrusion in that number, by sequencing it to adhere to it in some fashion, they will find little to no telepathic resistance in Peter's mind, as his defenses are incapable of defending from a mathematical intrusion. Peter will still be AWARE of the intrusion, but is left with only his willpower, and perhaps physical abilities to defend himself.
Megalomania: Peter is convinced, not necessarily mistakenly, that he is a nascent God. He truly believes that it is his DIVINE RIGHT to rule mankind, and Earth, as well as Arcadia. This confidence is nearly unshakeable, barring someone entering his mind, and getting to the core of this issue, which is sourced from...
Delusion: Peter believes that the world is responsible for what happened to Madelyne. He does not desire revenge, as he is a benevolent dictator, but simply to rule the world, and stop anything from ever happening that would repeat the tragedy that led up to her death.
HOLY SHIT THAT'S CREEPY: Peter SCREAMS bad news to many people. This makes him terrifying, and puts him at a sort of social disadvantage. However, this seemingly eldritch, or demonic, nature to him CAN be attractive to certain people who find that sort of thing to their liking... Peter has draconically slitted pupils which glow Mako Green, and are seemingly forged from malachite gems, almost sheet white, silvery skin, and long silver hair. Nothing about him is human seeming.
---
Motivation, and Why: First and foremost, Peter is the Lord-Commander, and Instructor of the Hellions. They are HIS Knights, and a part of HIS sanctuary. He intends to lead them to the same self-command, self-discipline, and chasing perfection he himself holds, because they are worth his time. Anyone who comes into Arcadia WILL be taught, because Raziel passed that same knowledge to him. Anyone who hurts his Hellions WILL answer to Vanguard. Because you do not take Peter's things from him lightly.
Secondly, Peter has no intention of letting the Hellfire Club, the Government of the World, or any other single power rule the world but Peter. He killed Madelyne Pryor. He no longer has one single thing he desires... No. He desires EVERYTHING. Infinite Power, Naked, unstoppable ambition. If he can not have her, he will RULE EVERYTHING. Anyone who serves him, will rule under him. It is his Divine Right.
Loyalty: Hellfire Club/Himself; Shaw has seemed amenable to him so far, and as such Peter is willing to play nicely with them for the time being.
Physical Appearance: The first thing you will notice if you ever look at Peter Emile, is that his hair is truly silver. Not in the sense that it is grey, with a white tinge, but that it looks like real silver threads. More importantly, his eyes are an unholy crystalline green, and his pupils are feline. As he stares you down, you can see the long black coat he wears, almost mocking you, as the shoulders are armoured, but the chest is exposed. His movements are not quite perceptible, seemingly moving too fast in tiny ways to catch, a slight blur. More than that, his feet do not seem to touch the ground. He stands at six foot six inches, and his weight, if you were to guess, is roughly two hundred and fifty pounds, judging from the muscle mass you can see. His hair reaches his waist, and you can see silver coloured bracers along his wrists and forearms. His hands are in black gloves, as his feet are in boots of the same. His very skin is silvery white, as if the flesh has never known the kiss of the sun.
Peter Emile – In Uniform
Peter Emile Casual
History: Peter was born the eldest of a set of triplets... Or so the official records state in any case. DNA tests would not be able to back them. But his genetics aside, Peter was raised the elder brother of a set of three. His sisters were genetically distinct in a number of ways, and Peter's deviations from the template was no surprise. Silver haired, his eyes were feline, and an eerie malachite green. When the family doctor ran a set of routine tests on him, he was rather surprised. Peter was a changeling. While the fact that he was a mutant did not surprise his family, the fact he had manifested these abilities from birth, and the scope of them did. Peter's blood used a silver composite, instead of iron, to carry oxygen. This presented possible medical complications, but was not as worrying at the moment.
A quiet child, almost silent, he was not one to cry, or talk much, as he aged, there was concerns of autism, but he seemed to respond to stimuli. By the time his 'brother' Allen had been born, it was obvious that the eldest Emile simply had no need to be noisy, which suited the nanny's fine. He was a constructive child, reading by about three, and reading voraciously. He remained the silent guardian of his two 'sisters', careful to keep them from trouble, and keen on shepherding his 'brother', once the nanny were taking care of him as well.
Peter was seven, when he realized he was different than other children. Not different than his 'siblings', as he was simply a bit more keen to charge into new things than they were, and less prone to caution, but different from the other children around him. They had issues forming complete thoughts. Had trouble keeping up with his mind.
Peter asked his Lord-Grandfather, when he saw him, reluctant to share this insight with his parents, who seemed to respond more happily to Allen, Celeste, and Elena's hiding their abilities. Raziel explained that he noticed something that was there, and that it was easier to just go along with the act, wear the contacts, and keep using the temporary hair dyes for now, rather than make a fuss. It would all make more sense once he was older.
Not, that he was not smart enough, his grandfather was quick to point out, but that he needed experience. It was something that came with age, and patience. Peter was pleased with the sense behind that answer, and Raziel seemed to favour the child who bore his name, subtly, tutoring him personally while the others would often be more content to amuse themselves, and walking Peter through concepts that were far above his experience level, as a means to prepare him.
Peter stopped shepherding his siblings at ten, as they no longer needed it. Celeste and Elena were very fast to make friends. Allen was keen to follow in Peter's footsteps, and there was a strong bond between the two male siblings, a shared love for knowledge. Allen treated knowledge as a diversion, an amusement, much like a game. Peter found his brother's enthusiasm invigorating, but slightly disheartening, since knowledge was a duty to the elder. To their sisters, knowledge was only worth what it could be used for. The three different perspectives seemed to carry with them to other things as well.
Lord-Uncle Henri, and 'Aunt' Haku began teaching all four self-defense on and off, sometimes having Lord-Grandfather Raziel teach them the finer points of a more archaic weapon. Outside of the conventional schooling each was taking, there was at least another twenty one hours a week of lessons from other family members, beginning to learn of their connections to the Order of St. Francis, and of their destiny, or fate, to follow in their parents foot steps. Lord-Father Gabriel would often teach them how to assess weaknesses in others, Dame-Mother Raphaelle explaining how to prey on those.
Peter's Dame-Aunt taught his female siblings more than she taught Peter or Allen, as it was obvious that they had no empathic, or shape-shifting abilities, but she did make an effort to know her nephews, and there was a strong sense of approval from her in regards to the two males.
Allen developed his powers next, Peak Human abilities, to match his intelligence, rivaling Peter's. Peter remained calm, his own abilities of telepathy and telekinesis remaining mostly dormant, minor feats being all he could achieve. His Lord-Grandfather was relaxed where his parents seemed to fret about it. He tutored Peter in how to think, focusing on self-control, and self-discipline. As Peter's raw powers came more and more into their own, he found it easy to apply the lessons, and use them.
He found the greatest pleasure in manifesting his own equipment, sparring with Allen, blade on blade. It was about skill for Peter, and self-control for his brother. When Peter was fourteen, he was asked to join Gamma Flight, to keep an eye on his brother who had also been approached. Neither was extremely keen on this, hesitant to leave their family's shelter, but they did as they were asked. When they arrived... It was a mess, they managed to show up in the midst of a firefight, and only the timely intervention of the X-Men stopped the misfortune from escalating further.
As the training base had been thoroughly ruined, both Peter and Allen were offered a place in the Xavier academy, alongside a number of other cadets. It was a simple... Almost pre-programmed, response. Peter answered for both himself and his brother, to the affirmative. For the next two years, he spent his time in the tutelage of the Xavier Institute, and wrote letters often home, receiving infrequent replies at best. Both Emile's had the sense to keep their mouths shut in regards to their affiliations, and thanks to some conveniently created false documentation, again, like this had been planned... The two were never questioned much further than what they offered. Summers would be spent at home, catching up with their lessons, and family, in that order. Peter was being groomed for the vacant position of Argent Knight under the Argent King, Raziel. Allen was being prepared to replace Henri, but no one believed it would be necessary, leading to the running joke that both Peter and Allen could fill in as needed as a Knight.
Peter noticed something about his family. Raziel had silver hair. So did Peter himself. Erika was raven haired. Gabriel was golden haired, as his mother had been... And Raphaelle was flaxen haired... Allen was originally blonde, but bleached and dyed his to match his brothers.
And then Raziel slipped up, calling him son. When that happened, Peter learned a little more about the secrecy he needed to keep. He was the youngest of three, not the eldest of four. And he was likely due to inherit Raziel's psychic abilities, as well as raven black wings. He was Raziel's heir, not Gabriel's. This was kept quiet, a moment of weakness on the side of many parties.
To the Argent Knight, it was not difficult to maintain this secrecy. He loved his family dearly enough to spare them the pain. The schooling of his seventeenth year was easy enough, having grown into the pattern of keeping few friends, Allen being more than social enough for the both of them. Peter fancied a couple of women over his time there, never approaching them, since he knew any woman he brought home would likely be scared off by the rather... Intense, questioning Peter had seen one of Celeste's boyfriend's receive.
Allen seemed to make friend's with this slip of a shadow user, Leon. Peter approved of him immensely, the Dark Elf as he came to think of him as, proving to be discreet, efficient, and subtle. All things Peter would want in his Argent Guard, should he ever build one. Peter was preparing to pack things up to go home for his eighteenth summer... When he received a phone-call he dreaded.
Sentinels had attacked the club. Raziel was dead. Peter's shoulders itched, his breath was slow. He felt more than heard, the following orders, and he carried them out automatically, informing Allen, securing transportation home. Meeting family. And that was when he found Arcadia. His own personal world. His first action, was also morbid. He created a grave for his Grandfather in the new world he had discovered, an act of will. Raziel's body had not been found, only a few of his ravens feathers, and his pendant, a silver Celtic cross.
Peter had been given that, and he tucked it under his shirt without fanfare, knowing why. Gabriel and his two brides took over the Club, freeing the position of Aurant Knight for Allen, who stepped into the role instantly, the same day Peter stepped into the role of Argent Knight. Celeste stepped into Aurant Bishop, and Elena stepped into Aurant Rook.
While the benefits of having the Victoria Hellfire Club as a purely family affair were obvious, since it kept the power concentrated, and infighting minimal, it also meant they needed to diversify themselves. Peter was sent back to Xavier's for his final year without Allen, though the Aurant Knight would visit briefly now and again, the Argent and Aurant were more keen to stick to written communication. Peter had his own pursuits to follow, and did not want to interfere with Allen and Leon's fun.
Speaking of Leon, or rather, his sister, the Argent Knight kept careful tabs on Victoria. He was known as Herald, to the X-Men, though he kept little faith with that codename, simply answering to anyone who addressed him, his powers coming into their own slowly. He was actually planning on asking Victoria on a date, the timing, and need becoming slowly apparent. He also wanted to ensure Leon would have a connection to the club... And then he met her.
Madelyne Pryor... Met, is a strong word. He glimpsed her, was nearby when she and Scott visited. He could tell she was different from Jean, little things, her stance, and mannerisms, but they were uncanny. Madelyne was a creature unlike anything he had ever met. How he managed to maintain his grades while he was also subtly investigating the red haired woman who haunted him, he would never know.
Graduation was without fanfare, being practically snapped up by the club again, thrown through training courses, and otherwise forced through rather hellish training. Sensei, his sparring partner, was the one who often spoke to him most, and even then, it was a few sentences at best. Peter simply retreated into his shell, and when he was free, tended to Arcadia, which was growing steadily. Three years seemed to fly by. And then he was being flown to New York with Henri. Something about an event that he might be able to help them take care of.
Madelyne had gone mad. They were observing, Peter being handed a rifle. Henri needed to be on hand to confirm the kill. Falling into a kneel, aiming from the side of the helicopter. She was a threat to all the Hellfire Clubs, and Peter was a combat trained psychic. Raise. Madelyne was reaching out with her powers. Peter shielded Henri on instinct. His life wouldn't matter anyways. Trigger safety disengaged. Aim. Correct for wind. Telekinetic shield This was going to be luck, since he did not know the wind conditions inside the shield, even if these Psi-Kill rounds worked on someone that powerful. Fire. Miss? But Madelyne was self-destructing anyway. He had to have hit. He felt a part of himself be torn away, felt more wishing to escape. The helicopter was being tosses aside. Henri made it out in time, with a shove, and a throw.
The ringing in his ears was loud and painful. He could not see clearly. The visor of his helmet was shattered. It was blurry, but there was someone there, picking him up. They were telling him it was going to be alright... He blacked out. When he woke up, he was sitting across from Sebastian Shaw. It seemed Victoria had not cared enough to check the wreckage...
Well, that made the offer of working for the Hellfire Club here in New York an easy one to take up. He was a secret, and a final weapon. The Argent Knight, a silver shadow to protect this club, and to train the Hellions they gathered to counter the X-Students. His Godhood was pending, just as soon as he figured out where the other thirds of his essence are... He could feel it, on the edge of his consciousness... As could he feel his ancestors. It would be a long time before he was alone again.
Recap: Peter has five siblings. Two older half brothers (Henri and Gabriel), a younger half brother (Allen), and two half-sisters (Celeste and Elena). His father is Raziel, his mother is Raphaelle. Peter's birth was the product of Raphaelle preying on Raziel's emotional weakness after the death of his wife, and was a move to hold Raziel at her mercy, beyond her husband being his son. That Peter inherited the lions share of his Father's powers, and a very similar appearance was a 'happy' accident. Raziel is descended from the Cheyarafim, and Peter is the only (known) descendant of his to manifest wings. (This is left open if anyone wishes to claim his siblings.)
RP Sample: The ringing in his ears brought him to stark reality. It was so loud he was sore behind the eyes. That was the irritating part. Sitting up, he could barely stop himself from falling over. His eardrums were possibly ruptured... It was nothing he could have fixed. Slowly, shakily, he stood up from there, and summoned his sword to use as a cane. Appearing in a burst of light, he leaned heavily on it. His helmet was in no good condition, he could tell from looking at it. The visor had a deep crack in it. It had done it's job however. With his other hand, Peter removed it, before spitting out some blood. This was an altogether shitty way to finish a mission. Henri was nowhere to be seen...
Scanning the area, he growled, even his sense of perception was fuzzy given the head trauma. He was barely able to get a bead on the Astral in the area. Too drained to open a gateway, the focus was just not there...
“We have a survivor! Jesus, he lived through that? It must be the Argent Knight they said was seen in the area. It's alright mate, we work for Se...” Peter tumbled forwards, caught by the two figures. It was too blurry to make out. Oh god his head hurt. “Christ Dan, this guy is barely standing. Get him into the car, and get some saline in him. We'll see what else we can do for him once we get him back to base!”
It went black. Peter's headache ceased. She was dead. He had killed her. Succeeded in his greatest mission, and failed so miserably at life... When his eyes opened again, he recognized the man across from him. Oh how marvelous... Sebastian Shaw. “Hail to the Black King. How can an Argent Knight be of service, Sire?”
